August has been declared Drive Aloha Month by Governor Ige, Honolulu Mayor Caldwell and Hawaii Island Mayor Kim!
We kicked off the month with a Drive Aloha Fair at Tamarind Park where we asked the downtown crowd to pledge to practice responsible, courteous and safe habits on the roads and tell us how they Drive Aloha.
In 2018, 43 pedestrians were killed across the islands in traffic accidents, up a whopping 207% from the year before! It’s a sobering reminder that we must all do our part to make our roads safe for everyone. Even one traffic fatality is too many.
Mahalo to all of you who have taken the Drive Aloha pledge and encouraged others to join the Drive Aloha movement. We appreciate your commitment and support as our Drive Aloha Ambassadors.
The DTRIC Insurance team also got into the spirit of the month with their own Drive Aloha Fair. They’re committed to putting the Drive Aloha pledge into action every day. Check out a few of their tips they shared during their fair.
Thank you for your commitment to Drive Aloha today and every day. Let’s be sure to practice Drive Aloha habits all year long!
